About the coordinator? The coordinator is an employee of Health Services Grey Bruce. The Coordinator provides education about Community Treatment Orders (CTO?s), assists in identifying individuals who may be appropriate for CTO?s, and assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of CTO?s.
Role of the coordinator? The coordinator is available for a number of services including: Providing education and information regarding the Mental Health Act and the Health Care Consent Act, 1996 to health care professionals, community services, consumers and families Liaising between the hospital and agencies who are providing services and support to individuals with serious mental illness, to dialogue about our roles and responsibilities Participating in the development of protocols with local police, within hospital emergency departments and mental health departments in the interest of providing high quality service to individuals with serious mental illness Managing questions, concerns of families, service providers and consumers related to mental health legislation and the use of Community Treatment Orders
